--------------------------------------
What software do I need for Desktop Themes?
--------------------------------------

To use this desktop theme, you will need Microsoft PLUS!,
(an add-on pack for Windows 95 or Windows 98),
available at your local software reseller.

I don't want to buy Microsoft Plus or Windows 98!
Are there any program that do the same thing but for free?

Yes! There are some shareware/freeware program which can run any
themes without having to buy MS Plus!

--------------------------------------
MS Plus! Alternatives:
--------------------------------------

Desktop Themes v1.73 (103 KB) -- Shareware

FreeTheme v1.1 (1,653 KB) -- FreeWare

--------------------------------------
How do I install the theme ?
--------------------------------------

The Desktop Theme will extract all the files to C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\ which is the default directory for your Microsoft Plus! Themes.

If you do not have the Plus! pack installed please download one of the alternatives above and read the instructions. Some of these products will use an alternative directory to install the Themes to. You will have to copy the Theme to whatever directory is specified in the documentation for the particular software that you download.

=========> Once the Theme has been unzipped and installed:

1) Go to the "Start" Button in the lower-left.

2) Choose "Settings" > "Control Panel"

3) If you use Windows 95/98 there should be an icon called "Desktop Themes" double-click to launch the choose menu. If you do not see this icon go to "Add/Remove Programs" > "Windows Setup" and check the box next to "Desktop Themes" and click OK. This will prompt you for your Windows install disks. This will allow you to install the files necessary to run the Microsoft Plus! pack.

4) Once you are in the "Theme Manager" you will see a drop-down select list. Click on it and scroll down and choose "Other". You can then browse to find the "mononoke" folder. Choose the ".Theme" file and click "OK" then, click on "Apply" or "OK" to switch to this Theme.
